Chakwera challenges graduates to be development-minded

President Dr Lazarus McCarthy Chakwera has advised graduates to join the movement of patriotic Malawians in advancing the Malawi 2063 development vision.

Chakwera has said this during the first session of the first 2025 University of Malawi Graduation at the Great Hall in Zomba.

Chakwera has hinted that the graduands will be beneficiaries of the 3 million jobs to be created by government from September this year.

He also called on the graduands to be prepared to build malawi and expand the Agriculture, Tourism and Mining strategy for the country’s progress.

In his remarks, the chairperson of the University of Malawi Council Christopher Guta advised the graduands to maintain moral character and integrity when joining the competitive work world.

Guta also called on the graduands to go into the world and make a difference.
